David Pearson is a retired lieutenant from Fort Collins Police Services with a combined 31 years of law enforcement experience. He has served in a variety of roles during his career in patrol, investigations, and administration. Currently, he works as an owner/consultant with his company, Rocky Mountain Blue Line Consulting, LLC.
David has been a law enforcement instructor since 1996 and has taught classes over a broad range of disciplines. Since 2005, David has been an instructor for the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) which is a law enforcement training organization. As an instructor for the NTOA, David has taught the Team Leader course as well as Response to Suicidal Subjects course. David’s focus at the NTOA, however, has been in less lethal technology and tactics. David has certified over 1300 instructors in the Unites States and around the world. Since 2013, he has served in the role of Less Lethal Section Chair for the NTOA.
David is a two-time Medal of Valor recipient for his actions on patrol and SWAT. He also earned a Medal of Merit for his life-saving efforts during a major flood. He holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership.
