Senior Corporal Christopher Grall has 32 years of service and is assigned as a Managed Response Instructor at the Dallas Police Academy. Christopher is a member of the Less-Lethal Team, providing training to the 3100 members of the Dallas Police Department. Christopher and his partner provide initial training, annual recertification, and maintenance of all less-lethal weapons. In addition to these duties, he is also training the department in "De-escalation as an Outcome".
Christopher began his career as a Dallas Police officer in 1990 and served 25 years as a beat patrol officer and a community policing officer. Christopher holds several training certificates. Christopher is a TCOLE advanced instructor, master taser instructor, master OC instructor, ASP baton instructor, Bola Wrap instructor, NAPD (driving) instructor, use of force instructor, crisis intervention instructor, chemical munition/distraction device instructor, canine encounter instructor, and a Pepper Ball instructor. Christopher is the recipient of numerous commendations and awards, Christopher was also recognized as the trainer of the year for the Dallas Police Department in 2021.
