Sergeant Ross Stinson has been an officer with the Dallas Police Department since 2005 and promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2012. During his time on the department, he has served in Patrol, Training and Development, Technology Support, Special Investigations, and Special Operations Divisions. In November 2020, he was tasked with sUAS program development and implementation under the Air Support Unit. Sergeant Stinson currently instructs for public safety programs and partners with the North Texas Public Safety Unmanned Response Team (PSURT), the Law Enforcement Drone Association (LEDA), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and is a NIST certified Basic and Advanced pilot.
