Hyemin Lim is a young police officer in Republic of Korea. She put her first step in criminal justice as a student of Korean National Police University(KNPU) in 2012. Since then he has enjoyed exploring the capacity of K-police and brought out fresh insights.
In KNPU, she had broadened her interests in Korean reunification issue. Her eager to figure out the uniqueness of K-police made her come up with the idea of Police Governance in response to a reunification scenario. Due to the effort, she was awarded by the Minister of Unification in 2014 and by the Minister of Education in 2015.
After becoming a police in 2016, she deepened her understanding of K-police by studying in Seoul National University(SNU). Majoring in International Relations, her master's dissertation deals with the change of K-police as a Foucaultian disciplinary institution.
With field experiences -patrol, investigation, planning, cyber security and victim support- Hyemin is a rookie cop who can provide a balanced view on ever-changing police environment!
