Rian Glassford is a Deputy Chief for the Clark County Fire Department (Las Vegas, NV). He has been with the CCFD for over 24 years. Rian earned his Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, and his B.S. degree in Political Science from Pepperdine University. He also completed the Executive Fire Officer Program from the National Fire Academy and teaches officer development for new Company Officers.
In 2017, Rian was the Deputy Incident Commander of the Family Assistance Center after the 1-October mass casualty shooting that took the lives of 58 people. In 2020, Rian designed and implemented the first mass testing site in Southern Nevada in response to the Covid19 pandemic. In 2020 he became the Multiagency Coordination Group (MAC) Operations Section Chief and coordinated vaccination efforts in Southern Nevada.
Rian has been married to his wife Beth for over 20 years. They have two beautiful children and two drooling Saint Bernard's.
