Francois Duguay, Deputy Chief

In his 33 years of policing, Deputy Chief Francois Duguay has worked in a variety of roles including in Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations. D/C Duguay headed the Gatineau Police Service’s Professional Standards, Internal Affairs and Ethics Section, where he was challenged with many sensitive issues such as Social and Political Profiling.
D/C Duguay currently serves as the Co-chair of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Ethics committee and is a member of many provincial Committees.
D/C Duguay holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration at the National School of Public Administration University in Gatineau, a Bachelor's degree in Criminology (CUM LAUDE), a Certificate in Law from the University of Ottawa, has completed a program in Criminal Investigation studies at the Université du Québec in Trois-Rivières and is a graduate of the CACP Global Studies 2016 program in which he spent several weeks in South Africa.
His most recent accomplishment is the successful development and launch of an Ethics Culture program within the Gatineau Police Service.
