Lt. Walt Melnyk began his law enforcement career in 1999 with the Bryan, TX Police Department. He has served as a patrol officer and a sergeant in patrol, criminal investigations, and special investigations. As a lieutenant, he has worked as an internal investigator and in his current position leading Training and Recruiting for the department. Lt. Melnyk holds a B.A. in History from Texas A&M University, a M.S. in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University, and is 2011 graduate of the FBI National Academy, Session #244.
