Michele Farry is the City of Northampton’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), first Deputy Commissioner and serving the needs for six divisions now in 2022. She has contributed to significant growth and development coordinating programs and services throughout Western, MA.
Michele and her team are known to be strategic visionary systems thinkers. DHHS promotes co-learning formats, ethical data collection and research, equitable approaches and assist local communities to overcome obstacles with groundbreaking programing. The DHHS Drug Addiction and Recovery Team (DART) program is a nationally recognized innovative model. Designed as scalable and brining harm reduction philosophies to Public health and Public Safety partners with many community landscapes. DART shares centralized values, missions and has identified new ways to leverage, prove value in multi-sector relationships by consistent and robust technical assistance functioning cross-county as a collective of DART members.
During her career Michele has spent many years addressing health issues and chronic disease by striving to support people with complex risks & health needs.
