Steve Salem joined the Baltimore-based Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation as its President and CEO in March of 2006. In this capacity, Steve has helped take the organization from a $1M annual operating budget to this year more than $30M. He has overseen the development of a National Board of Directors; the growth of the organization’s staff infrastructure; broad national program and fundraising plan; as well as its nationally recognized Youth Development Park and STEM initiatives.
Steve has worked closely with leading youth advocates to help pass critical child safety legislation including the Adam Walsh Child Safety Act and the National Amber Alert program.
In his volunteer capacity, Steve serves on the Board of Directors of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in Alexandria, VA.
