Al Almeida is a Superintendent, at York Regional Police and is the Executive officer to the Chief. Al has more than 34 years of policing experience working in operational roles including Drugs and Vice, Homicide, and Intelligence. Al has led change initiatives at YRP including the implementation of the Intelligence Hub and he recently co-led an organizational cultural transformation called Breakthrough.
Al holds a Master of Arts Degree in Leadership from the University of Guelph, a certificate in Police Leadership from the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto and a Diploma in Law Enforcement from Seneca College.
