Ronald Brooks is a founding member of Brooks Bawden Moore, LLC, a government relations firm in Washington, DC. Prior to BBM Ron served for 38 years in law enforcement.
Ron retired as the Director of the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center and the Northern CA HIDTA. Prior to the NCRIC, Ron retired as an Assistant Chief with the California Department of Justice.
Ron was a founder and chair of the Criminal Intelligence Coordinating Council. Ron was a member of DOJ’s Global Justice Initiative Advisory and the White House Interagency Policy Committee for Information Sharing and Access. Ron was the founding chairperson of the State and Local Homeland Security and Law Enforcement Partners Board for the Director of National Intelligence. Ron served 16 years as the President of the National Narcotic Officers’ Associations’ Coalition.
Ron has received numerous awards, including the National Intelligence Distinguished Public Service Medal, Redwood City Police Department’s Medal of Valor, National Fusion Center Association’s Thomas J. O’Reilly Lifetime Achievement Award and the National Fusion Center Association’s Fusion Center Representative of the Year.
