Tony was appointed Chief Privacy Officer at Corsight in January 2021. He is responsible for developing software in line with emerging global regulation and law, supporting clients in their lawful and ethical use of the software and developing and influencing public opinion on its use.
Tony was appointed Surveillance Camera Commissioner in UK in 2014 having been appointed by the Home Secretary in March 2014. He reported annually to Parliament over 7 years. He developed the National Surveillance Camera Strategy, introduced a suite of certification processes and wrote police guidance on lawful and ethical use of facial recognition systems. In January 2022 Tony was honoured by Her Majesty the Queen in her New Years Honours list, receiving the OBE, for services to Security and Human Rights
Prior to this Tony was a senior police leader in international counter terrorism . He performed the role of National Co-Ordinator Pursue throughout the London Olympic Games 2012 taking the responsibility for all national security/counter terrorism police investigations across UK. For this service Tony was awarded the QPM by Her Majesty the Queen for distinguished service to policing.
