LTC Allen is a public safety technologist. Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) for Illinois State Police led change though a series of increasing organizational responsibility. Followed by Supervisor for Federal Bureau of Investigations. Then Iowa Statewide Interoperability Communications System Board, Statewide Interoperability Coordinator and radio system project manager for a new 700 MHz P25 TDMA Phase 2 platform.
Allen held/holds several senior leadership positions including Chair of International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), Communications and Technology Committee; Chair, Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, Communications and Technology; President Central Illinois Chiefs of Police; Chair Illinois ISPERN Governing Board; Chair IL State Executive Interoperability Committee; Executive Council (EC) of National Council of Statewide Interoperability Coordinators (NCSWIC); SAFECOM.
Craig taught over 4,000 students for Northwestern University in the School of Police Staff and Command.
LTC Allen holds a bachelor’s in Management from University of Illinois; and graduated from Northwestern University, Police Administration Program.
