Ron Lendvay proudly serves as the Undersheriff for the Clay County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) in Florida, where he serves as the second-in-command and oversees the daily operations of the agency. Lendvay came to the CCSO from the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT), where he served as the Director of Public Safety. Prior to working at JAXPORT, Lendvay retired from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office following a 25 year career. He started as a patrol officer in 1994 and promoted through the ranks to include serving on the appointed staffs of two sheriffs as an assistant chief, chief and director. Lendvay retired as the Director of Investigations and Homeland Security.
Lendvay earned his M.A. from the Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense and Security in Monterey, California. He earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of North Florida where he is currently a part time faculty member teaching within the Criminal Justice Department. Lendvay is also a graduate of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Leadership Academy, presented at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, in partnership with the National Sheriff’s Association.
