Marshall Freeman is the Chief Operating Officer for the Atlanta Police Foundation, the nationally renowned non-profit law enforcement advocacy, strategic planning and research organization that supports public safety in Atlanta.
He leads a team that manages programs and initiatives designed to prevent and decrease crime, enhance public safety infrastructure, increase police visibility, provide mid-career training to Atlanta Police Department officers, and test and acquire state-of-the-art technology for the south’s largest urban police force.
Before joining the Atlanta Police Foundation, he had a successful entertainment career including his work with Aretha Franklin, Joan Rivers, The Beach Boys, and American Idol winner Candice Glover. He has also produced events and concerts for the NFL, NBA, BET and more.
A native of Detroit, Marshall is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports/Entertainment and Event Management. Marshall is involved in several civic roles: Inspire Brands Foundation Trustee, Midtown Atlanta Rotary Club, and serves on the LGBTQ Advisory Board for the City of Atlanta.
