Hannah D. McManus, Ph.D., is a Research Associate for the University of Cincinnati Center for Police Research and Policy. Dr. McManus participates in research and evaluation in the criminal justice field, with a specific focus on police practice. She is co-principal investigator for the Bureau of Justice Assistance’s Academic Training to Inform Police Responses and the Collaborative Crisis Response Training Program – two national initiatives designed to raise awareness in the policing community about the nature and needs of people with behavioral health conditions and developmental disabilities; provide training and technical assistance in crisis response; and support the use of evidence-informed, best practices in those responses.
