Julie Malear is a Project Manager with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). She has worked at IACP for four years, working on various projects including the member engagement team (committees, sections, and divisions), law enforcement policy center, and the Community-Based Crime Reduction program. Julie has assisted with developing and maintaining the IACPengage online community platform and has guest-edited several issues of Police Chief magazine. She currently oversees the annual Officer Safety and Wellness Symposium, VALOR Law Enforcement Resilience Training Program, and the Mass Violence Advisory Initiative. Julie has a bachelor's degree in political science from Wayne State University and a master's degree in justice, law, and criminology from American University.
