Captain Gauldin is a Massachusetts native where she graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. Captain Gauldin also earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Appalachian State University. Captain Gauldin has over 22 years of experience as a police officer. Her experience includes assignments in the Field Services Bureau, Support Services Bureau and Investigative Services Bureau. She currently serves as the Criminal Investigations Division Commander.
Captain Gauldin has been instrumental in the creation of Winston-Salem Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center and related technology. In 2019, she was nominated for the Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service in Policing, recognizing her achievements in law enforcement..Captain Gauldin has graduated from the Piedmont Leadership Academy and North Carolina Justice Academy Management Development Program. Captain Gauldin also recently graduated from the FBI National Academy (Session 281). She was the first female representative from the Winston-Salem Police Department to graduate from the National Academy.
