Chief Lukens established AI policing with a neighborhood beat program entailing automatic data analysis interfaces compatible with the RMS. Utilizing AI, incorporating blockchain technology and algorithms removes the excessive administrative tasks incumbent on sergeants allowing them to focus on training, coaching, and character development. Officers assist the community in reporting live video streams and photos on 911 and non-emergency calls to dispatch which are pushed to officer cell phones as well. Video, LPR, and phone apps are utilized for positive reinforcement in the community. AI integration is utilized for some crime reporting online, freeing dispatchers for analysis and officers for predictive measures. AI service follow-up is conducted to get daily feedback. AI and Ghost calls ensure predictive and evidence-based practices are implemented. Authorized strength of 12 professional staff, 22 sworn & a $3 million budget, in theory, but due to staffing shortages and extensive military deployments, have worked with 53% staff, no investigators and decreasing violent crime by 12%, property crimes by 50%, and increasing traffic enforcement by 26%.
