In 2021, the United States watched as questions about a video and its playback in court were challenged, both by the defense and the prosecution. While most investigations utilize video and multimedia as evidence, are we processing each step in the chain of custody in a way that best preserves and presents the evidence? This talk will discuss how agencies can plan for challenges and staff for the future of digital multimedia evidence. The session includes officers managing technology, command staff who establish best practices, and practitioners who help get the most compelling portions ready for court.
