Empowering First Responders With a “Mobile-First” Approach

Smartphones have transformed our personal lives, and, with the right apps and accessories, they’re transforming first responders’ field efficiencies as well. Smartphones have become the Swiss Army Knife for officers. Enhanced with robust 5G networks, the ability to perform nearly all aspects of the job at their fingertips improves situational awareness, saving time and money. This session will be presented by chiefs from two agencies: Pinellas Park, Florida, Police Department and Lenexa, Kansas, Police Department. Both have issued smartphones to all officers. They will showcase their mobile-first approach, using mobile apps for virtual briefings, officer safety and wellness, dictating reports, push-to-talk situational awareness, remote policing, and more with minimal budget impact.
