Although each of these perspectives have value, they tend to push officers to extremes and often don’t promote a balanced viewpoint. The metaphors also lack substance to help guide law enforcement in their daily interactions with their communities or coworkers. This class will explore a new approach, the Jedi Way. This metaphor uses the mythical Jedi culture to provide a balanced perspective and framework that transforms agency culture. In turn, this will lead to more balanced officers, a reduction of liability, increased accountability, and facilitate community trust and support for your mission.
