Illicit finance investigations, driven by intelligence and metrics, are critical to dismantling any criminal organization. Collaboration and intelligence sharing among all levels of law enforcement, particularly within a task force environment, enable all participants to leverage their strengths and expertise to address local and national threats. These partnerships allow for effective intelligence collection, coordination, sharing, and deconfliction to further enhance illicit finance investigations. Identified metrics help focus investigative efforts and resources. This session will discuss each aspect in detail and offer examples of memoranda of understanding designed to help agency leaders facilitate task force participation and obtain access to intelligence centers.
