This 4 hour workshop consists of a classroom presentation. As natural gas production increases in the United States, the storage, transport and use of LNG has dramatically increased as well. Emergency Responders must understand the characteristics of LNG and how to recognize a LNG fueled vehicle, refueling station, and road transport and storage vessels. Responders must also know how to approach and manage an emergency situation involving LNG.
Learning Objectives:
1. The participant will describe what LNG is, to include its properties, hazards and uses as a transportation fuel.
2. The participant will identify industry practices for LNG storage, handling, transport and use.
3. The participant will explain considerations, guidelines and actions required to manage an incident involving LNG
