This session will help prepare HazMat team members to safely respond to significant natural gas emergencies including large leaks and explosions. Topics will include the increasing trend in natural gas emergencies, new types of incidents, the HazMat team’s role in natural gas responses, using laser methane detectors, deploying wireless gas detectors, establishing zones, post-blast considerations, and incident management considerations.
