This course will prepare hazmat technicians and special operations personnel to employ a full suite of hazmat/CBRN detection devices and air monitoring instruments in an integrated manner. This course will focus on results interpretation and decision making using multiple technologies.
Learning Objectives:
The student will learn to apply colorimetric papers, tubes, and technologies to rule in/rule out various threats.
The student will learn to apply electronic technologies, including electrochemical cells, PIDs, and the AP4C to gather detailed detection information.
The student will learn to apply advanced identification technologies including HPMS, GCMS, Raman, and FTIR to detect, confirm, and identify threats.
