Competent and safe response to hazardous materials incidents requires sound management of the response team and involves more than just ordering equipment and conducting training. This interactive session will address the complexities of managing a hazmat response program and permit attendees to better understand their roles and responsibilities as program managers.
Managing a hazardous materials response program requires knowledge, skills, and abilities that program managers need to successfully lead and support their programs. The purpose of this session is to provide attendees with an overview of model program management considerations and skill sets. Using lecture and facilitated discussion, attendees will gain a better understanding of the scope and complexities of managing a hazardous materials response program and share personal experiences so that others may learn.
