Daniel Baumann is a Partner and Design Director at Henning Larsen and co-leads the firm’s US design studio in New York City. Daniel oversees the design process of complex projects through delivery, often on a day-to-day basis. He leads an iterative, research-based and co-creative design process, harnesses the efforts of large multidisciplinary teams, and mitigates decision making while driving projects forward. As a designer, he emphasizes a contextual approach in which each project is tailored around site, context, program and the eye level user experience, developing innovative and pragmatic concepts in response to complex programs and conditions. Daniel’s broad experience includes large-scale mixed-use masterplans and urban designs, commercial offices and labs, multifamily residences, and civic projects. Recently completed projects include Visa’s Global Headquarters in Mission Rock San Francisco, and the Enterprise Research Campus masterplan in Allston, Boston.
