As IMT’s Managing Director of Programs, Alex oversees all programmatic work across policy, community engagement, and private sector implementation.

Alex has more than 15 years experience working on urban sustainability and building decarbonization. Before joining IMT, Alex served as Executive Director for the Philadelphia USGBC Chapter, Green Building United, for six years, where he supported code and policy adoption at the state and local levels and led effective implementation of building performance programs at the city and regional scale, ranging from coordinating climate action among large real estate owners to supporting the launch of an environmental and housing justice coalition. Prior to this role, he led policy and program work for Philadelphia’s Office of Sustainability. He began his career in real estate development before pursuing an MS in Sustainable Design from Jefferson University. He is a LEED AP BD+C and holds a BA in English from the University of Vermont.
