Chris Schaffner, PE, LEED Fellow is founder and CEO of The Green Engineer, a sustainable design firm in Concord, MA. Chris has spent 35 years focused on energy efficiency and sustainability in the built environment. His portfolio includes more than 220 projects that have achieved LEED Certification.
Chris was a charter member of the USGBC LEED Faculty. He currently serves on the LEED Energy and Atmosphere TAG). Past volunteer roles with the USGBC include LEED Steering Committee, (2019 Chair), Board of Directors, LEED Advisory Committee, and Indoor Environmental Quality TAG,.
Chris is a Lecturer at Northeastern University in their Sustainable Building Systems program. He is a member of ASHRAE, serving on the ASHRAE Standard 90.1 and Standard 209 committees. In addition he is a WELL AP and a member of the WELL Faculty, and serves on the WELL Air Advisory.
