Matt Plecity is a Principal with GBBN in Pittsburgh and has 20 years of experience working on buildings and landscapes for academic, corporate, and nonprofit clients. He has extensive experience designing highly sustainable buildings including three achieving LEED Platinum and two achieving Net Zero Energy Usage. Being both a registered architect and landscape architect, Matt has a passion for projects that deliver powerful relationships between building and site. His experience working with nonprofit organizations such as the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy and Tree Pittsburgh to design highly sustainable buildings is a specialty focus. He has been an an architectural guest critic at Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania State University, Virginia Tech, and the University of Virginia and was a faculty member in the School of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University from 2006 to 2019.
