Brian Runberg, AIA, NCARB, is a principal and founding partner of Runberg Architecture Group in Seattle. Since its founding in 1998, he has worked to create vibrant and livable urban residential communities and is nationally recognized for designing some of the country’s most energy efficient mixed-use projects. He is a champion for performance-based sustainable development, using intelligent design to balance growth and quality. His clear, collaborative approach has earned him long-term relationships with many of the region’s leading developers and has contributed to the development of more $3 billion in the construction of mixed-use residential buildings. In 2021, Runberg was named Designer of the Year as part of the Puget Sound Business Journal’s Commercial Real Estate Leadership Awards.
Runberg Architecture Group designed Washington State’s first LEED for Homes Platinum project and has received two U.S. Green Building Council “Outstanding Multifamily Project” LEED Homes Awards.
