April Kelly is the Environmental Programs Manager at Georgia Institute of Technology. She has 22 years of experience in private industry and government. Prior to her work at Georgia Tech, April served as a Environmental, Safety and Chemistry Supervisor at South Carolina Electric and Gas Company (SCE&G). April has experience developing and implementing environmental program activities including, but not limited to: air permitting, asbestos, indoor air quality, hazardous materials, drinking water quality, stormwater management, wastewater, landfills, and environmental management systems.
April earned a Bachelor of Science in Professional Biology from South Carolina State University, a Master in Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Master in Business Administration from Webster University. She is also a Registered Environmental Manager and a Certified Waste Management Professional.
April is a 2012 graduate of the Women’s Leadership for the New South and Leadership Columbia Class of 2014. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the Columbia City Ballet, the Nickelodeon Theater, and the R.A.M Foundation.
