Adam Ely is the Director of the Project Development Unit (PDU) for the County of San Mateo, CA, which provides construction services for all new ground-up capital construction projects in the County. He leads the PDU in delivering buildings and infrastructure that are functional, aesthetically appropriate, cost-effective, equitable, sustainable, inspiring, and compatible with the County of San Mateo mission and policies. As Director of the PDU, he currently oversees over a billion dollars in new construction public projects, including hospitals, clinics, fire stations, emergency operation centers, shelters, and the new County Office Building and Civic Center. He also participates in establishing and implementing County policies and practices for sustainable building and operations.
