Annabel Shephard is a Design Engineer with PCS Structural Solutions, serving on the internal Sustainability Committee educating engineers in-house on embodied carbon reduction strategies and performing life-cycle analysis to quantify the carbon emissions and embodied energy. Inspired by her studies at Oregon State University, where she obtained a dual master’s degree in civil engineering and wood science, investigating the threat of structure fires’ influence on the life-cycle assessment of a steel office building, she applied for membership to the SEI Sustainability Committee, where she has served as a member since 2019 and as a member of the SE2050 Commitment Program since its inception. She is dedicated to the vision of a sustainable built environment.
