The year is 2030. High-performance, grid-interactive efficient buildings with multiple-objective optimization have become more common. They are helping LEED projects realize the promise of sustainability, resilience, and healthy environmental performance by leveraging more integrated building systems. This session will feature a mock charrette set in a future scenario to illustrate how the green building industry may evolve in the coming years.

The building industry is on the verge of a massive digital transformation, with double-digit growth in the billions estimated for the smart building ecosystem. The shift to center system integration will reshape industry processes, transform professional roles, and expose workforce and knowledge gaps across each project phase.

Join industry leaders in exploring opportunities to advance how intelligent buildings can support climate, health, equity, and resilience. Session attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a future forecasting exercise and inform our shared vision of how the industry will evolve.
