Inspired by the site’s history, the team set ambitious waste goals that go beyond its LEED v4 Gold target to combat the perils of resource wastage, a linear economy, and climate change. GENESIS Marina is set to become the world’s first commercial building project to achieve TRUE (Zero Waste) for Construction certification. Strategies to reduce, reuse, redesign, re-earth, and recycle have diverted over 90 percent of all waste from the construction process.
