(H06) Measure What Matters: Introducing a Holistic Framework for Measuring Health and Well-being for HR, ESG, and Human and Social Capital Reporting

Organizations are looking for best practices to drive evidenced-based improvements across their assets, their organizations, and the health and well-being of their people. They want to understand the relationship between health, well-being and performance metrics. They are seeking guidance to help them benchmark their actions against their peers in annual environmental, social and governance (ESG) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting. While there is currently no universally accepted way to measure human and social capital, there is growing consensus that health and well-being needs to be a core component. However, many organizations struggle to understand key drivers across their organization that influence the health and performance outcomes they are interested in or where to begin. In an era where the health of employees is increasingly understood to be material to corporate performance, the need for substantiated data and benchmarkable metrics on health and well-being is increasingly important, particularly for an investment community looking to mitigate risk, evaluate financial performance and identify opportunity.

Join our panel of experts to look at how IWBI’s new 12 Competencies for Measuring Health & Well-being for Human & Social Capital can be used as a framework to guide internal and external measuring and tracking on health, well-being, and performance. The Competencies are the result of a collaboration between IWBI’s Research Team, global Research Advisory, and Pre-Approved global survey providers representing over 1.5 million data points. The session will discuss how to measure health and well-being effectively across five scales of an organization, how the 12 Competencies aligns with WELL v2, the relationship between health and human performance, and promising applications for ESG and capitals reporting. The session will include discussion by two industry leaders in real estate and workplace management on use value and application of the framework, as well as future directions and alignment with sustainability reporting.
