Louisa Holaday, MD, MHS is an Instructor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. She was born and raised in New York City and is passionate about improving health equity through community and policy-level interventions. She earned her MD from the University of Michigan, and then returned home for Primary Care / Social Internal Medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Einstein in the Bronx where she was Chief Resident. Following residency, she joined the National Clinician Scholars Program (formerly the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program) at Yale University. Dr. Holaday is a health services researcher interested in how neighborhood and community shape health outcomes for older adults, as well as increasing diversity in the medical workforce. She is currently a T32 fellow in Disparities in Aging and Dementia.
