Shannon Griffin is a skilled mixed-methods researcher and analyst in the field of health policy, with professional experience at public, private, and nonprofit organizations. She is a project director and senior team lead at Insight Policy Reseach, where she focuses on health- and healthcare-related projects that aim to improve the lives of historically underserved and underrepresented individuals. Shannon brings particular expertise in presenting analyses, policy implications, and action items in clear, understable formats to diverse audiences and stakeholders. She has supported a variety of clients across sectors during her Insight career, including the Administration for Community Living, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Defense Department Advisory Committee on Women in the Services, National Center for Education Statistics, National Science Foundation, and Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute.
Prior to joining Insight, Shannon was a policy analyst at the Kaiser Family Foundation, where she studied Medicare payment and delivery system reform, end-of-life issues, and demographics and characteristics of the Medicare population. She also worked for the federal government as a human networks analyst, where she provided mixed-methods analysis and recommendations to customers across global combatant commands. Shannon earned her M.P.P. at The George Washington University and her B.A. in political science and French from the University at Buffalo, SUNY, with a certificate in French studies from the University of Franche-Comté in Besançon, France.
