Dr. Holly Dabelko-Schoeny is an Associate Professor and Director of Research of Age-Friendly Innovation Center at the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University. She received her B.A. from Wittenberg University, an M.S.W. from the University of Maryland and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. She is a community-engaged social work scholar and educator committed to improving the lives of older adults and family caregivers through community-based interventions identified and developed with older persons, practitioners, and other scientists.
Dr. Dabelko-Schoeny’s research has been supported by private foundations, state and local governments, and the National Institutes of Health. She has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and co-authored the book Home and Community-based Services for Older Adults: Aging in Context published by Columbia University Press in 2018. She has presented at numerous national and international peer-reviewed conferences and invited to participate in media and community events including with AARP, Tedx, The Columbus Dispatch, and All Sides with Ann Fisher on public radio. Her research has been recognized through various awards including being named a Fellow by the Gerontological Society of America and receiving the Community-Engaged Scholar award from the Ohio State University Office of Outreach and Engagement.
