Dr. Jamie Justice’s research is within the emerging field of geroscience, which seeks to change the way we study and treat aging. Jamie leads multi-disciplinary team-based research projects to evaluate the functional role of biological processes underlying human aging, and to translate promising interventions to clinical trials. This includes: 1) aging outcomes trials testing metformin or lifestyle interventions, and 2) clinical studies on cellular senescence in human aging. She is also multiple PI of the NIA Geroscience Education and Training Network (GET Network), which is committed to creating a diverse multidisciplinary workforce in geroscience.
