Emily Ishado is a program and research manager at the University of Washington School of Nursing. Her area of research focuses on development of assessments and interventions that target dementia care partner wellness and self-care. She is currently assisting with the development of a comprehensive educational training program for nurses to provide dementia care at the top of their scope of practice. She is trained as geriatric clinical social worker and has served older adults, people living with dementia and their care partners in a variety of settings, including outpatient, long term care, home health, community-based telehealth.
