Laura Baehr is a clinical educator who advances practical applications of movement from the lab to the community. She is currently an adjunct instructor in Health Professions within the College of Public Health at Temple University. Laura is also a PhD candidate in Health and Rehabilitation Science at Drexel University completing her dissertation study on the impact of group tele-exercise for individuals with spinal cord injury. She previously earned her dual Bachelor of Science and Art (BS/BA) in Neuroscience and Dance from Muhlenberg College and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Temple University.
Dr. Baehr uses her interdisciplinary training to center evidence-based health promotion strategies on the lived experience of the client. Her expertise includes physical activity participation and its psychosocial impact, adapted exercise instruction, and tele-services research. She teaches for both regional and national adapted sports organizations and serves as the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Qualitative Research Special Interest Group Post-Professional Liaison.
