Dr. Lee is an Associate Professor at University of California, Irvine (UCI), Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing. She is a nurse scientist with expertise in gerontology. Her research focuses primarily on translational approach to improve care delivery and quality of life for patients and caregivers. Within this focus, a recurring theme of her work is to explore racial and ethnic disparities in quality of care. Culturally sensitive approaches to care delivery in chronic diseases including dementia a primary consideration of her research. Currently, Dr. Lee is the primary principal investigator of NIH/NIA funded dementia caregiver support study as well as Program evaluator/Co-Investigator of DHHS/HRSA funded UCI GWEP. Dr. Lee served as Equity Advisor for the UCI School of Nursing and recently was elected as President-elect of American Asian and Pacific Islander Nurses Association (AAPINA) to contribute to the improvement of diversity/equity in healthcare system.
