Dr. Janetta Lun received her Ph.D. in social psychology at the University of Virginia, where she conducted and published research on social and interpersonal influences of stereotyping, prejudice, and cultural psychology. She then did post-doctoral studies on cross-cultural psychology at the University of Maryland at College Park. Prior to joining NIH, Dr. Lun was an AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow at USAID. She then joined NIH as a behavioral scientist in the office of the NIH Chief Officer for Scientific Workforce Diversity. In that role, she worked on several initiatives designed to diversify the NIH intramural workforce and extramural grant applicant pool. Dr. Lun moved over to CSR after serving as the Chief of Data Analytics at the NIH Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, where she led efforts in providing NIH workforce demographic analyses for strategic planning and evaluation.
