Dr. Jason Dauenhauer is Professor of Social Work at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Brockport. He holds a BS from SUNY Brockport, an MSW/Specialist in Aging certificate from the University of Michigan, and a Ph.D. in Human Development from the University of Rochester. Prior to teaching at Brockport he was project coordinator of the Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center at the University of Rochester. In this position Dr. Dauenhauer was responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of continuing geriatric education programming for health care professionals. He is currently the Director of Multigenerational Engagement at the College. In this role he works to foster intergenerational learning experiences between older adults and students. His primary areas of research include elder mistreatment, multigenerational engagement in higher education, and program evaluation. Dr. Dauenhauer also coordinates the Aging Studies minor and Aging Studies Graduate Certificate program at SUNY Brockport.
