Hayley Belli is Assistant Professor of Biostatistics within the Department of Population Health at New York University Grossman School of Medicine, where she conducts research in the design, conduct, and analysis of pragmatic clinical trials. Her work develops and tests interventions that utilize behavioral economic theory and digital health tools to improve clinical outcomes for chronic conditions, including diabetes, dementia, and migraines. She is also interested in pragmatic studies embedded within electronic health records, and methods for extracting evidence from real world data in the context of expanded access programs. She serves as PI on an NIH NIA K01 awards that aims to develop and pilot test a behavioral economics mHealth tool to ehlp care partners of people living with dementia manage behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia. She also serves as MPI on a study through the NYU Center for the Study of Asian American Health that will develop and pilot test a green activity protocol for Chinese Americans living with dementia. She has also collaborated on numerous grant funded research as a co-investigator and biostatistician.
