Dr. Zahodne is a clinical neuropsychologist and an Associate Professor in the Clinical Science area of the Department of Psychology at the University of Michigan. She is also Co-Director of the Michigan Center for Contextual Factors in Alzheimer's Disease, a Resource Center for Minority Aging Research funded by the National Institute on Aging. She trained in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Florida, the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and the Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Zahodne’s research program aims to understand how life course psychosocial experiences influence late-life cognitive trajectories, the expression of neurodegenerative disease, and racial/ethnic inequalities in Alzheimer's disease. Her research group collects longitudinal biopsychosocial data from large, representative and diverse cohorts, including the newly established Michigan Cognitive Aging Project, in order to guide policies and interventions to reduce late-life cognitive morbidity and health disparities.
