Dr. Lu is a tenured Associate Professor of Health Services Research at the University of South Carolina and an Adjunct Associate Instructional Professor at the University of Florida. Dr. Lu is an elected Fellow of the International Society of PharmacoEpidemiology (ISPE), faculty advisor for the UofSC ISPOR student Chapter, and served as Chair of the Academic Council of ISPE. He also sits on the editorial board of several leading journals in health outcomes research, including Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy (JMCP), and Journal of American Pharmacists Association (JAPhA), and serves as reviewing, guest, or associate editor for several other journals (e.g., Frontiers in Pharmacology, Frontiers in Medicine). Dr. Lu’s expertise lies in leveraging real-world data to answer important questions relating to pharmaceutical health economics and patient outcomes. Dr. Lu has published over 80 articles, including JAMA Network Open, BMJ Global Health, BMJ open, and Lancet Oncology. Dr. Lu received his Ph.D. in Pharmacoeconomics from the University of Maryland.
